| The (AVS) Address Verification System verifies the home address that the customer enters with the address that is on file with the credit card company. The AVS is there to make sure that if someone is using a stolen card with a false address, the AVS will catch it. The AVS system does not allow for shipment of items to a false address using your credit card. The AVS is mainly used with Mail Order Merchant Accounts, Telephone Order Merchant Accounts, and Internet Merchant Accounts. |
