We utilize a processing system designed about scalable, fault-tolerant Stratus computers. The system can be expanded to handle volume increases without program changes or outages. To ensure complete security, the Company maintains two separate telecommunications networks to ensure consistent dial-up connections. The primary network is WorldCom and the secondary is AT&T. All devices accessing the NOVA network are programmed to dial the primary network on the first attempt and automatically retry the transaction on the secondary network if the first attempt fails. Through the use of two telecommunications networks and a back-up host system, NOVA has maintained a 100% uptime to it's merchants since inception.
