Q: What exactly is the SmartPayments Plug-in for QuickBooks?
A: It is a software utility that enables users of Quickbooks to integrate a payment-processing module that interfaces with the Banc Certified Merchant Services Processing Banks.
Q: Who should use this product?
A: This product should be used by merchants that utilize QuickBooks accounting software and want to use the payment module within QuickBooks. Note that target merchants may have QuickBooks and currently process with another acquirer; they can easily switch with the purchase of our SmartPayments Plug-in. Likewise, merchants processing on terminals will enjoy the benefits of simplified reconciliation.
Q: What if my business has multiple users?
A: The cost of the SmartPayments Plug-in is per license. If multiple workstations are needed, you will need to set up a separate plug-in for each workstation.
Q: What if my merchant has multiple merchant numbers?
A: This product is not multi-merchant capable. This is intended for single MID merchants only.
Q: What payment types does the SmartPaymentsPlug-in for QuickBooks support?
A: Initially, only MO/TO credit and Retail credit and PIN debit (with a PIN pad) will be supported, however there are plans to add EGC and ECS at a later date.
Q: Does the merchant need anything other than the “plug-in” in order to process transactions?
A: Yes, the merchant must have a supported version of QuickBooks, a PC meeting all minimum hardware and software requirements and an internet connection.
Q: What does my business get when I set up to process with the QuickBooks Merchant Services?
A: Merchants will receive a SmartPayments Plug-in for QuickBooks Installation CD in their deployment kit, along with all the normal stickers and sales materials.
Q: How will I get trained?
A: Banc Certified PC training will help merchants install, configure and learn how to use the SmartPayments Plug-in. Just as with any other software product, merchants are to call and schedule training. Once set up with the QuickBooks Merchant Services we will train you via telephone. Banc Certified will also provide your business with QuickBooks Merchant Services technical materials.
Q: What PIN pads are supported with the SmartPayments Plug-in?
A: The VeriFone PIN pad 1000SE is certified for PIN based transactions such as debit and EBT.
Q: What printers can be used with SmartPayments Plug-in for QuickBooks?
A: Any Windows supported printer can be used for QuickBooks Merchant Services. This means that if a merchant has a printer that works with their PC, it will work for this product.
Q: What card readers are supported?
A: SmartPayments Plug-in for QuickBooks Merchant Services will work with both USB and Serial Magtek Mini Card Wedges. |
